Choosing and fitting

Parts of this type are selected by cross-section size, temperature resistance, and compression behaviour. For replacement, remove the old cord completely and clean the groove of residue or hardened sealant. Press the new cord evenly into the groove so that it compresses uniformly when the door or flange is closed. Avoid overtightening, which can damage the cord, and insufficient compression, which leads to leaks.
