The Honeywell S4565C1017U is a gas boiler control unit (control box) designed for use with Honeywell VK41 series gas valves. It operates at 220–240 V and provides spark ignition for main and pilot burners. The unit includes an auxiliary fan and airflow control relay, and uses a flame sensor rod for flame detection. It features an extended ignition time and supports an external LPG valve. It is compliant with EN 298 and EN 60730-1 safety standards, and all burner protection functions are integrated.

Control boxes of this type are selected by matching the supply voltage, the gas valve series (e.g., VK41), the ignition method (spark ignition or pilot burner), and the presence of an auxiliary fan. They are mounted directly on the gas regulator, with the electrical connector on top, and can be installed within a 90° angle in any direction from the vertical position of the actuator. Before ordering, verify that the control box is compatible with the existing gas valve series and that the required ignition transformer (built-in or external) is available.

Failures of control units for gas burners often manifest as lockouts when no flame is detected during the safe ignition time. To reset, press the own/external reset button or interrupt the power supply; wait at least 15 seconds between reset attempts. If the flame goes out during operation, the unit will repeat the starting sequence with pre-purging. If the airflow control relay does not detect airflow during the pre-purge time, the unit stays in standby with the fan running.
