This control box is a burner flame safeguard from Siemens. It manages the burner ignition sequence and enforces safety times, driving the fan, ignition transformer, and fuel valve in response to a heat demand. It also performs a pressure-test check with shut-off valves, preventing startup if unacceptable leakage is detected. If no flame is proved within the safety time, the control box locks out.
