Choosing and fitting
Replacements for this type of air/gas ratio control are selected by connection size, pressure range, and whether the application requires modulating or on-off duty. The thread type and nominal diameter must match the existing gas train. Before ordering, confirm compatibility with the burner's pneumatic signal pressure and the gas train configuration. During installation, the pneumatic impulse lines must be clean and correctly connected.
Signs of failure
Failure of this type of control usually involves the diaphragm or internal moving parts aging or clogging, which leads to a drifting gas output. The burner may show unstable flame or incorrect air/fuel ratio. Check the impulse lines for blockage or leaks, and inspect the diaphragm for damage or deformation.
