Honeywell solenoid valve VK4115A1000U

This gas solenoid valve for burners incorporates two shut-off valves controlled by two electrical devices, enabling two-level electric regulation. It features Softlite soft ignition, regulation of the gas/air ratio at 1:1, and pressure regulation by servo with an alternative throttle-valve method. The valve is suitable for natural and liquefied gas, with a nominal inlet pressure of 25 mbar and maximum operating pressure of 100 mbar. Its flanged connections have a nominal diameter of 18.6 mm and a 1/2" BSP.PL thread. The unit is built for a supply voltage of 220–240 V AC at 50 Hz, consumes 10.56 W, and provides a flow capacity of 4.4 m³/h at a pressure drop of 5 mbar.

Installation requires an upright position; the mounting holes are at the bottom, and a side gas outlet is usable only with a flanged burner manifold. Common failure modes include the valve failing to open or close, which shows as the burner not igniting or not shutting off when the control signal is removed. A stuck or leaking valve can cause gas to continue flowing, leading to flame instability or a burner that will not extinguish. Check the electrical supply to the operators, the diaphragm for wear or damage, and the inlet pressure against the rated maximum of 100 mbar.
