Description

This Honeywell gas valve is an automatic gas solenoid valve with a two-position electrical actuator. It is designed for gas heating installations with DSI, HSI, or IP ignition systems. The valve includes two electrical actuators: one for the safety valve and one for the main valve. It has a built-in positive feedback system, a fine-mesh filter on the input side, and an optional output filter on request. Operating on natural gas or liquefied gas, it has a maximum inlet pressure of 60 mbar, maximum operating pressure of 45 mbar, and a flow capacity of 3.1 m³/h at a 3 mbar pressure drop. The connection thread is 1/2" BSP.PL and the ambient temperature range is 0–60 °C.

Choosing and fitting

Gas valves of this type are chosen by matching the connection thread (e.g., 1/2" BSP.PL), maximum inlet pressure, and flow capacity to the original equipment. They use flanged connections and two-position electrical actuators, and the electrical hookup is via DIN standard or AMP connectors. During installation, the actuator should be positioned vertically or within a 90° angle, and the valve is fixed by two threaded mounting holes at the base. The outlet pressure can be checked through a sensor connected to a half-inch pipe.
