Description

The De Dietrich GT 210 rear section (SKU 82275500) is a sectional heat exchanger component. It forms the end of the heat exchanger block, opposite the front section where the burner mounts. This rear section contains the final flue gas passages and the outlet connection to the flue system. It is made of cast iron or aluminium alloy and is designed for De Dietrich GT 210 boilers, as well as GT 220-2200 and GT/GTM 210-2100 /K/DIEM./DIEM.MD models.

Choosing and fitting

When selecting a rear section for a sectional heat exchanger, the specific model designation, the number of sections in the original block, and the connection dimensions must match. The material (cast iron or aluminium alloy) and the gasket profile must also match the existing assembly. During installation, inspect the mating surfaces for damage, confirm the correct gasket type, and ensure the section is aligned correctly to avoid stress on the block.

Signs of failure

Typical failure modes for rear sections include scaling on the water side, soot accumulation on the gas side, and gasket deterioration leading to leaks. In condensing appliances, condensate corrosion can occur at low points where moisture collects. Symptoms may include reduced heat transfer, visible leaks, or corrosion damage.
