ACV Heating element 5476D004

This ACV heating element (SKU 5476D004) is an immersion heater for water vessels. It contains two independent heating stages, each with a power rating of 3 kW, giving a total output of 6 kW. Heat is transferred to the water by conduction. It is intended for ACV E-Tech boilers, including models W36, P45, P55, P75, P115, and W60.

Parts of this type are chosen by total power output, number of stages, supply voltage, sheath material, and mounting flange or thread dimensions. Immersion length must match the vessel depth to avoid overheating in air. The electrical connection must be sized correctly: cable cross-section and overcurrent protection per the element rating and manufacturer wiring diagram. When installing, isolate the mains, drain the water below the element level, and check the gasket or O-ring. Afterwards, purge air from the system before re-energising.

Elements of this kind fail through scaling, corrosion, or mechanical damage, all of which reduce heat transfer. Reduced heat transfer may appear as slower heating or failure to reach set temperature. Inspect the old element for these signs and verify the gasket or O-ring for a watertight seal.
