Anstoss Ignition transformer 07000054

The Anstoss ignition transformer (SKU 07000054) is a step-up transformer used in Anstoss FZ 2 (US) 1132 burner systems. It is energised only during the ignition phase to produce the spark that ignites the fuel-air mixture. It is also listed under article number 155.820.049.

For replacement, parts of this type are selected by matching secondary voltage and current, primary voltage (230 V is common, but 110 V and 24 V exist), duty cycle rating, mounting pattern, terminal type, and ignition cable connector pattern. The unit must also match the mechanical mounting and electrical connections of the original. The ignition cable should be inspected separately, as a hardened or cracked cable can cause problems.

Ignition transformers typically fail by producing no spark or a weak spark. A contributor to suspected failure is the high-voltage ignition cable: its silicone insulation hardens or cracks over time, allowing current to leak to earth. This fault can mimic a transformer failure, so inspect the cable and connections before replacing the transformer.
