Cofi Ignition transformer TRS1030/7

This ignition transformer (SKU TRS1030/7) operates from a 230 V, 50 Hz supply. It is a step-up transformer for oil and gas burners, generating the high-voltage spark for ignition. The body is heat-resistant and the housing is compact. It is active only during the ignition phase and has silicone-insulated ignition cable. Made in Italy, it is a replacement for standard ignition transformers.

Parts of this type are selected by matching the primary supply voltage (most commonly 230 V, but 110 V and 24 V variants exist), the required secondary voltage and current, and the duty cycle. Physical fit is determined by the mounting arrangement and terminal configuration, including the high-voltage cable connector pattern. Typical failure of this type of transformer results in a no-spark condition at the ignition electrode. The high-voltage cable is often at fault: hardened or cracked insulation can leak the spark to ground and mimic a faulty transformer.
