Fida Compact ignition transformer CompacT 12/35 – 33 TC121D

This compact electronic ignition transformer is for liquid fuel burners. It operates from a 220 V supply at 50–60 Hz and generates a 12 kV ignition output. The unit has two poles and plug-in connectors for power and the ignition cable. Its sealed design protects the internal electrical components. It is energised only during the burner ignition period.

Ignition transformers are selected by matching primary voltage, secondary output, duty cycle, and the mounting and connector arrangement. Primary voltage can be 230 V, 110 V, or 24 V depending on the version. The replacement must have plug-in connectors that fit the existing wiring and a bracket layout identical to the original. Before ordering, verify the secondary output and mechanical fit against the burner documentation.

High-voltage ignition cables on transformers of this kind can harden or crack from heat. A cracked cable may leak the spark to earth instead of to the electrode, preventing ignition even though the transformer produces output. The burner may fail to establish flame or lock out after repeated ignition attempts. Inspect the cable and connectors before condemning the transformer.
