Fida Ignition transformer ENTBC32

This ignition transformer, SKU ENTBC32, is a step-up transformer used in the Fida 26/35 50% ITAQ burner. It raises the mains voltage to a level sufficient to create a spark across the ignition electrode gap. The unit is energised only during the ignition period under command from the burner control, and is switched off once flame is established. It operates with a three-core power cable of 1140 mm length, which connects the transformer to the burner manager.

This type of ignition transformer is selected by secondary voltage and current, primary voltage (typically 230 V, with 110 V and 24 V variants), duty cycle, mounting and terminal pattern, and connector layout. Before installing a replacement, check that the high-voltage cable has silicone insulation and is not hardened or cracked; such damage can leak spark to earth. Confirm that the transformer is correctly earthed and that the electrode gap is set to the burner manufacturer's specification.

A no-flame condition on the burner can be caused by a hardened or cracked high-voltage cable that leaks the spark to earth. This symptom mimics transformer failure, so inspect the cable before deciding to replace the transformer.
