Fida Ignition transformer TE121D

The Fida Ignition transformer TE121D is a component used in burner ignition systems, converting the 230 V supply voltage to a high secondary voltage of 6–6 kV to create a spark. It features two poles and is equipped with plug connectors for both the ignition cable and power supply. The ignition cable has a maximum length of 270 m and a diameter of 4 mm. This transformer is designed to fit the Fida Compact 12/20CM burner.

When selecting a replacement ignition transformer of this type, ensure the primary voltage (typically 230 V, but 110 V and 24 V exist), secondary voltage and current, duty cycle, and mounting and terminal configuration match the original. The cable connector pattern must also be compatible, as the high-voltage cable must fit the electrode terminal without risk of arcing. Before ordering, compare the physical dimensions and mounting holes to the existing unit.

Ignition transformers of this kind typically fail through internal short circuits or open windings, as they have no moving parts. When a transformer fails, the burner may not ignite, or the ignition spark may be weak or intermittent.
