ACV Electrode 537DX031

This is an OEM certified ionization and ignition electrode from ACV, catalogue number 537DX031. It is intended for use in ACV DELTA Classic G15>30, Prestige 75 MK2 and Prestige 100 MK4 wall-hung boilers, as well as compact 28, kompakt HRE 32 and e tech P 75 models. In the burner, this electrode generates the ignition spark and proves the presence of flame via ionization current.

When replacing an electrode of this type, the service engineer must match the original electrode's physical shape and mounting arrangement: electrode length, bend angle, insulator diameter, spark gap, and the shape of the mounting flange or bracket. The electrode is chosen for a specific burner series because the tip position and gap are engineered for ignition and flame signal strength within that combustion chamber. The gap should be set precisely according to the burner manufacturer's specification.

Typical failure modes include erosion of the metal tip, cracking of the ceramic insulator, fouling from soot or combustion residues, and a drifting spark gap that prolongs ignition time or causes misfire. During replacement, inspect the electrode holder, the high-tension lead, and the ignition transformer connection for signs of damage or corrosion. If the burner uses a pilot burner, a faulty electrode can cause intermittent lockouts even if the pilot itself appears stable.
