Description

The De Dietrich Ionisation probe 97955318 (type designation D54) is a flame-proving electrode for gas-fired burners. It is installed in De Dietrich G 300 N boilers. The probe sits inside the flame zone and conducts a small rectified current through the flame, which the burner control reads as proof of flame. It is resistant to soot. This probe does not create a spark; it only senses flame.

Choosing and fitting

When replacing an ionisation probe of this kind, critical selection parameters include length, bend angle, ceramic diameter, gap distance, and mounting flange design, all of which must match the burner head geometry.
