Description
This spark ignition electrode is intended for use with Kromschroder ZKIH pilot burners that operate with forced air supply. The electrode has a length of 400 mm and is made of a heat-resistant special alloy, Kanthal A1. It provides direct electrical ignition for the pilot burner, with high heat resistance and corrosion resistance. Its design permits simple and quick installation.
Further details
| Application | Pilot burners ZKIH, industrial gas burners, boilers, furnaces and dryers |
|---|---|
| Function | Direct electrical ignition of pilot burner |
| Operational stability | Fast and stable ignition even in difficult industrial conditions (high temperature, humidity, dust) |
| Safety Standard | Full compliance with European safety standards |
| Service Life | Long service life under intensive operation |
Choosing and fitting
When selecting a replacement electrode of this kind, compare the overall length and bend of the rod, the diameter of the ceramic insulator, the spark gap, and the mounting flange design with the original part. The burner series for which the electrode was originally shaped must also match. Before installation, verify that the physical shape and mounting pattern correspond to the burner; a mismatch in bend or insulator diameter can prevent the tip from reaching the flame zone or can crack the ceramic when tightened.
Signs of failure
Electrodes of this type live in direct contact with the flame and are subject to wear. Failure can appear as erosion of the electrode tip, cracking of the ceramic insulator due to thermal shock or mechanical stress, soot accumulation that insulates the conducting path, or drift of the spark gap. These faults generally lengthen ignition time or cause intermittent misfire.
