The Brahma TCD2BA is a high-frequency electronic ignition transformer for burner applications. It operates from a 230 V supply at 50–60 Hz and produces a 9 kV secondary voltage. The unit delivers a peak current of 62 mA and a rated current of 30 mA, with a power consumption of 29 W and output frequency of 10–12 kHz. A ferritic core transformer design, built-in EMC filter, and varistor contribute to its compact and lightweight structure, weighing 0.25 kg. It has two contacts, an IP00 rating, and a recommended spark distance of 3–5 mm, with maximum ignition cable length of 1.5 m. The transformer includes short-circuit and overload protection and requires a ground connection.

Ignition transformers of this type are selected by verifying that the supply voltage, secondary voltage, and number of high-voltage contacts match the original unit. They may be mounted in any orientation; however, a ground connection is required. The mounting and connecting systems vary, so measure the fixing centers and check the terminal arrangement before ordering. During installation, route the high-voltage cable away from other cables and disconnect power before making any connections.
