Delivery and returns
The shop is not yet open for orders. This page describes how delivery and returns will work once it is.
Where we ship
We ship worldwide from London. Most parts in this catalogue are compact and travel as ordinary parcels; heavy items such as burner bodies and heat exchangers go by freight, and we tell you so before you pay.
How long it takes
Orders placed on a working day before noon are picked the same day. After that the time depends on where the part is held and where it is going — the carrier and the expected window are shown at checkout, before you confirm anything.
A part shown as in stock is in our own store. A part shown as on order is brought in from the manufacturer; the wait is stated on the product page, and we confirm it by e-mail before charging.
What it costs
Delivery is charged by weight and destination and is calculated at checkout, before payment. There is no hidden handling fee: what you see at checkout is what is charged.
Outside the United Kingdom, import duty and local VAT may be collected by the carrier on arrival. Those are set by your country, not by us, and are not included in the price unless checkout says otherwise.
Tracking
Every parcel is tracked. You get the tracking number by e-mail when the parcel leaves us, and the same number is on your order confirmation.
If a parcel arrives damaged
Check the parcel before signing where the carrier asks for a signature. If the box is damaged, note it on the carrier's document and photograph the parcel before opening it. Then write to us within seven days — with the photographs we settle it with the carrier ourselves, and you get a replacement or a refund.
Returns
If you bought as a consumer in the UK or the EU, you may return a part within 14 days of receiving it without giving a reason, and you have another 14 days to send it back. It must be unused and in its original packaging. We refund the price and the standard delivery cost within 14 days of the part reaching us.
Return postage is at your cost, unless the part is faulty, was described wrongly, or we sent the wrong one — then we pay it.
Business buyers: the 14-day right above is a consumer right and does not apply. Returns are by agreement, and we do agree to them — write to us and say what happened.
Wrong part ordered
It happens, and it is the most common reason parts come back. Tell us the make and model of the appliance and we will find the right part; the exchange costs you the difference in price and one postage. This is easier before the part is fitted — a part that has been installed cannot be returned.
How to start a return
Write to info@kroms.co.uk with your order number and what is wrong. We answer with the return address and a note to put in the box. Please do not send anything back before you have that — parcels without it are hard to match to an order.
The full legal wording of your rights is on the terms of sale.
